Terms of Sale
Neil Shillington, Bookseller exercises high standards of integrity, fairness and courtesy in all of our professional dealings. Please note that all books are offered subject to prior sale. We will advise you promptly of availability upon receipt of an email inquiry (every listing offers a "question" button for this purpose). The following terms describe our payment, shipping, return and privacy policies:
Payment
You can feel confident using our secure shopping cart to place your order. All ordering is handled through our secure, SSL-encrypted shopping cart. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards and PayPal.
For personal checks and money orders, shipment is made upon clearance (estimated 7-10 business days). If special handling or other issues arise, you will find a place in the shopping cart to include a message to us. Please let us know if you have special needs — we're glad to accommodate you!
Prices are net to all. You may choose any of several shipping options during checkout. 6% sales tax will be added to all deliveries within Florida unless the buyer supplies us with a Reseller's tax ID number. Libraries and institutional customers will be invoiced upon request and upon receipt of a firm purchase order.
Please Note: You may request a 7-day hold on a book, but we are unable to hold books under any circumstances past 7 days without a firm order.
Shipping
We ship worldwide via the US Postal Service, generally within 1-2 business days of receipt of your paid order. We strive to minimize postage costs for our customers and can offer alternatives, depending upon the book's size, weight and value.
Some books are oversized, consist of multiple volumes or may otherwise exceed the base weight for standard shipping rates. These books are so noted and we will quote an exact shipping cost at the time you place your order. Standard shipping rates for books weighing 2.5 pounds or less are as follows:
- Media Mail: 1st book 3.50, 2-up 1.50 ea.
- Priority Mail: 1st book 5.50, 2-up 3.00 ea.
- Canada: 1st book 7.50, 2-up 4.00 ea.
- International Airmail: 1st book 12.50, 2-up 6.00 ea.
Insurance is optional but recommended for all orders over $50.00, as well as all international shipments to allow tracking. For PayPal orders, we will ship only to the verified address on file with PayPal.
Returns
Please contact us ahead of time if you wish to return a book. Books are returnable within 10 days of receipt for a full refund of the book's price if the item is not as described in the on-line listing. Please note that shipping costs are not reimbursable under any circumstances.
Privacy
We will NEVER sell or release any personal information concerning our customers to third-parties, other than information provided to credit card processors as part of normal transaction processing. Your email address and personal information are safe with us.
